Today, I received my acceptance notice into the organization Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep.
It’s a non-profit organization that is set up to help out grieving families who have lost their newborn children or who have been told that their unborn babies have a condition that is incompatible with life. Affiliated photographers agree to provide these families with a completely free session of their babies with their families.
I have been told that it is very emotionally hard work. In fact, hard doesn’t even begin to describe it. I’m not sure if it’s something I will be able to actually handle when I am put in the position, but it is a worthwhile cause, and I can only begin to imagine what these families must have to go through. They all deserve quality images to remember their child though.
